Congratulations Graduates!!
Throughout the course of the show, the viewing public voted on their favorite portfolio, and Viviana Blandeau came out on top, winning the Audience Choice Best-of-Show Award. Becky Demetriou won the Critic’s Choice Best-of-Show Award, judged by faculty and design professionals. Congratulations ladies, and congratulations for a job well done to all who presented at the portfolio show!
Dennis McNabb, FASID, was also honored at the show for his twenty-one years of dedicated work at HCC, as he aims to retire in August. He will certainly be missed, but his words of wisdom will echo through the halls of HCC long after he has left Houston for his beautiful home in Sante Fe.

2009 Interior Design Portfolio Show

The 2009 Interior Design Show, featuring Student Portfolios of HCC's Class of 2009 is sure to be a huge success and a wonderful event to attend. For those of you who haven't been before, it is a wonderful opportunity to view the work of fellow students, and to see where you are headed in the Interior Design program. You are sure to be impressed!!
The event will be held at the Decorative Center Houston, located at 5120 Woodway in the Galleria area. Join us for a reception beginning at 5:00 pm and for the presentation of the first annual Bob G. Bibb Interior Design Scholarship Award! RSVP to Dennis Mcnabb at 713-718-6038.

ASID 2009 Golf Classic
HCC's ASID Student Chapter will be submitting a "Mulligan Chair" to be auctioned off at the event. The golf event and evening festivities will be an excellent way to meet and mingle with interior designers from the Houston area.

New Orleans- Then & Now Study Tour
This study tour will take place on April 2-5 in New Orleans, LA. The group will be staying at the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. Carpools are forming now!
Total cost for the trip is $430 ($50 additional fee for non-students). The trip fee includes hotel accomodations, entry to all museums/plantation tours, and city transit. The fee does not include food or transportation to and from NOLA. The first installment payment is due Thursday, March 6th. Space is limited, so register quickly!
