Dennis McNabb, FASID, with his retirement this fall after 21 years of dedicated work at Houston Community College, leaves big shoes to fill as the outgoing Associate Chair of Interior Design. Luckily, poised to take his place is Shasta Swift, owner of Swift Design, and graduate of the HCC Interior Design program.
Shasta has been an adjunct faculty member at HCC over the past two years, teaching courses such as Residential Design, Color Theory, and more. She is also a past president of the HCC ASID Student Chapter. Congratulations to Shasta Swift on your new position. You will be a valuable asset to HCC and all of its interior design students! And thank you to Dennis McNabb for all of you have done for the Interior Design program; best of luck as you embark on the next chapter of your life and career. You will be missed!

IDC is a group within Houston Community College made up of aspiring designers in the interior design program. IDC brings students together for fun, support, and networking opportunities within the professional community. Getting involved is the first step to a successful design career!
